The following is from Silviya:
My friend Melissa invited me to a river hike as part of the Winter Fest – Friends of Tettegouche State State Park Event! When we got there we found out that Baptism River has open pockets with rushing water! Determined to still see the river we asked at the desk for alternative routes. I was excited to see former client of mine Marie was at the desk and was very helpful. Marie suggested a trail along the river – 0.8 miles one way to the falls. We had fabulous time and the trail was pretty packed so we didn’t need snowshoes, but wore yak tracks. There was a short steep section where we needed them, but otherwise it was pretty manageable and easy walk!
With warm weather this weekend it’s a great time to get out and enjoy the winter wonderland before the snow really starts to melt!
Have a great weekend everyone!
