Gem in the woods

September

Fall leaf colors are well underway on the North Shore. The maple leaves are the first to turn and the Reds are spectacular right now in sunny areas. Our favorite Fall color tour is taking the Honeymoon Trail in Lutsen to the Barker Lake Rd to Wild Country Maple syrup. Wild Country has a great little shop to purchase syrup, goodies and gifts. It’s a destination stop for lots of folks and we highly recommend the drive to Wild Country! Enjoy the weekend Everyone!

Fall is moving fast!

Well it’s happening, the leaves are changing. It’s early yet, but this year might be one of those years where the colors change fast and are gone in some areas before other spots have even started.
Guess we will have to wait and see!

Changing Seasons

September

The seasons are changing quickly it seems. some Trees are changing colors, the air is cooler, temps at night are lower and all the wildlife is scrambling to get their stockpiles filled. That includes the bears who are tryign to get fat before their winter naps, like this guy (or gal) who didn’t care about me (Alisha), only the bird seed he could smell!
Hopefully winter takes its time to show up, and we have a nice long fall.
