Hello Spring
After the winter that wasn’t it’s so nice to hear the birds chirping and seeing the chipmunks running around. It seems like Spring is right on track. Everyone seems to be soaking up the sunshine, even this Beaver who must be getting ready for his (or her) summer projects!

Goodbye Ice
The snow we had gotten is almost all gone, especially after the rain this week. And while some lakes still have quite a bit of ice, some lakes are losing it quickly. Check out this video Kim took of Tait- watch until the end to see their neighbor enjoying the sunshine!

Just a *little* rain
After a solid day and a half of rain we are finally seeing a break in the clouds. The rivers are up, creeks are flowing- it’s almost like spring melt without snow! The rivers are putting on quite a show and if we get rain all of next week like the weather people are saying, the rivers will be beautiful! Hope everyone gets to get out and enjoy Spring on the North Shore!

Slow melting Ice
Check out the ice on Tait Lake! While the snow is melting pretty quickly due the warm spring days we have had, the ice on the lakes isn’t quite ready to let go! Any guesses when the ice will go out?
Hopefully everyone will get a chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine this weekend before the rain next week.

Birds of Spring
It’s the time of year where lots of birds are traveling north and south and stop for pit breaks at different feeders. This week I (Alisha) have had more birds at my feeders than I have all winter, and these guys and gals are LOUD! Turn up the volume and listen to the chaos. It’s fun to see but personally I miss the hummingbirds.
