Calm Waters
With the crazy weather we have had lately (like the snow on Fishing Opener!!), it was a pleasant surprise to see
Lake Superior so calm yesterday morning.
Big difference from the waves we saw this winter.
You just never know what you will experience along the big lake.

Hopefully we will get some warmer temps so we can all enjoy some sunshine soon.
Slow Ice Out
The ice on the inland lakes is going out slowly. I mean it was snowing yesterday and it was in the low 20’s this am, so…
But there are a few open spots where you can see progress on some lakes.
This video is of Crescent Lake boat launch on Thursday.
Obviously we couldn’t deny Timber his first swim of the year even though there were a few snowflakes flying around.
Personally I (Alisha) think I will wait for awhile!

Rain+Melting Snow= Water Everywhere!!
It’s amazing what happens when you have snow melting in the woods and get 2-3 inches of rain!
There are pop up waterfalls all over and creeks in places you haven’t seen them before.
When you stop and think about how much water is moving right now it’s scary! If you go exploring be careful, the trails are slippery and might even be under water in spots, depending where you go.
This video is of Temperance River on Monday night.
It’s never fun hiking in the rain, but it was worth it to check it out
