WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

Joys of Winter
When we got our big snowstorm a couple weeks ago Kim got out to enjoy it. The following is from Kim: Taking advantage of the fresh two plus feet of snow recently, I went for a back country ski through an old forest service road. It was cold enough not to be sticky snow so I was able to ski through the fluff pretty well.
Although a grey day, it was spectacular in the woods. Hope you all head North to enjoy the snow before the Spring melt!!

Ice Storm and Hoar Frost
An ice storm moved in the last few days and has created quite a scene. While the hoar frost is beautiful, the ice on the roads and paths is not. And now with the rain we have gotten on top of it all, it creates alot of slippery situations.
If you go out adventuring be careful! Even if it looks just wet, it’s most likely solid ice.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Signs of Spring
Noisy Lake Superior
Beautiful Winter Landscape
After the big blizzard we got last week, the landscape has changed its look. Where there was barely any snow, we now have huge snowbanks. And the same holds true along Lake Superior as well, with ice built up from the strong winds and cold temps. Along the shoreline in Hovland the ice has gotten so high in spots you can’t see the lake, but when you look closer you can see the ice is covered with orb like ice chunks.
Shows Lake Superior is beautiful in all the seasons.
Have a great week everyone and get out to enjoy the snow!
