Never Ending Winter
Since we seem to be stuck in endless Winter it only seems fair that we got to have a spectacular show of Northern Lights on Sunday. Best part of it was that most of us didn’t have to travel to see them, we could just walk out our front door!
Hopefully this last snowstorm will be the last big one. Have a great week everyone and think SPRING!
Back to Winter
Well everyone is in clean up mode today after the snowstorm this week. While the amount of snow we got is hard to determine with all the wind and off/on rain it’s easy to say that it’s messy and the snow is heavy! The big lake put on quite a show and I bet when all this new snow starts melting the rivers will be BEAUTIFUL. If you go out to take a look be careful, there is a lot of slippery spots on the trails.

April Snow Storm
We just can’t seem to be done with snow this year. We got another messy snow storm this weekend with rain first and snow afterwards. While we know it will melt quick it unfortunately made it harder for the birds that had come back for Spring like the Robins who would usually be taking dead grass to make nests and eating worms.
I (Alisha) still had some bird seed that I put out yesterday and the birds were crazy all day. It was interesting to watch them dig in the snow to get the seeds that dropped and to see all the different kinds of birds that showed up.
Hopefully the snow will melt quickly and spring will come to stay.

Beautiful Show in the Sky
The Sky put on quite a show last night! The northern lights were visible from Lake Superior to the BWCA, from Grand Marais to Bemidji! They danced across the sky and seemed to get better the longer they went on. There are chances again tonight of northern lights I am told so make sure to keep in eye on the sky tonight. I (Alisha) took these photos at my house on my iPhone. I didn’t see the colors, but my phone did with longer exposure settings. Even without the colors they were beautiful.
