WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT
TimberWolff Blog
Busy Beaver
The cooler temps and snow flurries last week have reminded all of us to get things organized before the snow stays. I (Alisha)really think that is what this beaver Kim saw is thinking about. The skim ice is probably making him realize he needs to get some more trees before the ice gets thicker! Good thing we are supposed to have a beautiful warm weekend, Perfect time to get out and get those last minute chores done.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Beautiful Day along Gitchi Gumee!
The following is from John:
Wow, what a morning! Unexpectedly, I had to take my son to school. I took advantage of this change in plans and did a quick loop around the Cascade River. Stunning light, watery sounds and brisk temps got my blood flowing. What a delight! Taking life as it comes along the shores of Gitchi Gumee!
Have a great week everyone!

Fall Fun
The following is from Kim:
Fall is spectacular on the North Shore. Inland from Lake Superior the Maples are at Peak, the Birch and Aspen are starting their display of yellows and golds. No bugs, crisp cool air, a fantastic time for playing in the woods. Tony and I had the opportunity this past week to gather with good friends CT, Linda, Cheryl and Larry for a ride on the side by sides. What a fun day! We saw more grouse than we did grouse hunters, and the fall leaf color and sunshine did not disappoint. This was a day to treasure. I hope you can all find your own treasure Up North very soon. Enjoy your weekend!

Fall Colors have Begun!
The colors have started! They aren’t changing all at once but as you travel in the woods there are some spots with vibrant reds and oranges! The cooler temps we are supposed to have this week will definitely jump start the colors so you better start planning your backwoods adventures!
Have a great week everyone!

Lutsen Fire Dept. Pancake Breakfast Sept 18th!
Fall is in the air! The Birch trees are starting to show yellow leaves and a few Maples are changing. While the rain this weekend puts a damper on hiking the trails looking for fall colors, it makes for a perfect time to enjoy the Lutsen Fire Department’s pancake breakfast on Sunday September 18th from 8am – 11am. Enjoy some great food and head up the Caribou Trail, I hear the leaves have started to turn!
Until then enjoy this video of the calm Grand Marais Harbor Kim took this week. Before we know it the gales of November will make seeing Lake Superior calm a rare sight.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!!
