BRR!!
We have been in yet another cold spell the last few days and the steam coming off Lake Superior is the proof. It was -18 this morning and the high so far has been -1.
While the steam is beautiful it almost makes you even more cold when you see it because we all know that water isn’t all that warm on a good day!

Lake Superior Ice
With all the cold temps we have had lately it’s no surprise that Lake Superior is making ice. This is the harbor in Grand Marais which had a lot of ice but not solid, if you watch closely you can see it move around. Hopefully we will have a break from this cold snap and get the chance to play outside!

Changing The View
This time of year you never know what the weather will be like day to day, or even hour to hour. It can be sunny in Schroeder and snowing in Lutsen at the same time.
Tony has taken some beautiful pictures overlooking Tait Lake showing how different it can look each day. Last week was warm and sunny for example, now today it’s been gray and cloudy just waiting for the snowstorm that’s supposed to hit tonight. The joys the fall.

Dramatic Fall
While fall brings the colder weather it also brings some beautiful color in the woods. It also brings more dramatic sunsets for us to enjoy.
Tony has taken these pictures the last few weeks showing all different scenes this fall has brought us. The yellow leaves on the aspen and birch are falling fast but you still have an opportunity to see them for a little while yet!
